In Greenford

MezopotamyaImmigration officers visited Mezopotamya Food Central, Greenford Road, at 15:00 on 30th January. Individuals were questioned to check if they had the right to be in the UK.
Officers arrested two men who were found to be failed asylum seekers. They were an Afghan national, aged 57, and a 29-year-old Iraqi. They also arrested a 24-year-old Nepalese woman who had overstayed her visa.
All three were transferred to immigration detention pending removal from the country.

In Poole

Three immigration offenders have been arrested following an operation at a house in Poole.
Immigration officers visited the property, in Shapwick Road at, 06:50 today (Tuesday 4th February), questioning individuals to check if they had the right to be in the UK.
A Chinese man, aged 30, and a 48-year-old Malaysian man were both found to have overstayed their visas. A 38-year-old Chinese man had entered the country illegally.
All three have been detained pending removal from the country.

In Wales

easterndelightOn Thursday 30th January at 22:30, officers went to the Eastern Delight Indian takeaway on Kinmel Street, Rhyl, where they arrested two Pakistani men, aged 23 and 57.
Checks revealed that the 23-year-old was working in breach of his visa conditions and the 57-year-old had overstayed his visa.

The following day an operation was carried out at Cinnamon Kitchen Indian Restaurant on Princess Margaret Way, Port Talbot. Entering the business at 18:00, officers arrested two Bangladeshi men. A 57–year-old had overstayed his visa and a 33-year-old had entered the country illegally.
In a follow-up search at a residential property a 33-year-old Bangladeshi man was arrested for working in breach of his visa.
All the men are now in detention while steps are being taken to remove them from the country.
