Ten illegals caught in one restaurant

DosaA restaurant in Manchester was caught employing ten illegal workers.
Immigration officers visited Chennai Dosa, Chester Road in Stretford at about 21:30 on 6th December 2013.
Ten Indian men aged between 24 and 50 were found working illegally in the restaurant. Nine of the men were arrested and transferred to immigration detention pending removal from the country. The tenth was placed on immigration bail while his case his progressed. The time his case will take to ‘progress’ he will probably be working illegally somewhere else.Ten illegal workers now that’s what I call taking the piss!

The man from Libya

A man from Libya was arrested just moments before he was due to take part in a suspected ‘sham marriage’ in Liverpool.
Home Office immigration enforcement officers attended the Register Office, St George’s Hall in Liverpool shortly before 10am on Saturday 7th December 2013.
Just before the ceremony was due to begin officers intervened and the 27-year-old man, who had been living in Princes Street, Liverpool , was arrested after checks revealed he was in the country illegally having overstayed his visa.
He had been due to marry a 20-year-old British woman, who was interviewed by officers and later released. The ‘groom’ has been detained pending his removal from the UK.
