Bed & Breakfast & Illegal Workers

UK Border Agency officers visited the Stretton Hotel on North Promenade, Blackpool at around 12:00 noon on Tuesday 9th October, no they were not having a night out they were there to carry out checks on staff to see if they had the right to work in the UK.
Five Indian men, aged between 21 and 30, were all arrested on suspicion of immigration offences including overstaying their visas and working in breach of their visa conditions. All the men were working at the hotel illegally and are currently detained pending their removal from the UK.
