How to get better medical treatment

‘Ere I’ve had an idea how to get better health treatment for yourself because our NHS is rapidly becoming awful and dangerous to it’s users.

When you travel abroad you get a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which can be used to cover any necessary medical treatment due to either an accident or illness within the European Economic Area (EEA).

The EHIC entitles the holder to state-provided medical treatment within the country they are visiting and the service provided will be the same as received by a person covered by the country’s ‘insured’ medical scheme and an EHIC only costs two quid.

Absorbed that, now imagine you have an immediate medical condition which either you will have to wait ages for NHS treatment or risk being killed by some killer bug in your local hospital.
What’s to stop you getting in a car driving to a ferry and turning up on the doorstep of a European hospital claiming to have just become ill or had an accident whilst on holiday. To make it look real you could always get a tent off Freecycle and sling it in the back of a ‘jam jar’ (car) along with a couple of sleeping bags.

Most towns in France have municipal camp sites which are cheap so not having a booking will not be out of place. There are around 2,800 throughout France, most in or on the edge of towns or villages plus about 8,000 other camp sites.

Don’t feel guilty, Britain is about to go to war with France over some topless photographs of Kate Middleton.

Can my scheme be that simple or have I missed something?

Did you watch ITV’s advert programme on Sunday evening, it was showing Downton Abbey during the breaks.
