Eight illegal workers from Bangladesh are in detention awaiting removal from the country after they were arrested in a raid on a Nailsworth restaurant in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Acting on a tip-off, UKBA officers went to Passage to India, Old Market, at around 17:00 on Thursday 14th June and carried out immigration checks on the staff present.
Eight men from Bangladesh who were employed as kitchen staff and waiters were found to be working illegally.
Five men aged 24, 29, 31, 33 and 37 had stayed in the UK illegally after their visas expired, two men – aged 21 and 26 – were working in breach of the conditions of their visas and a 35-year-old man was found to have entered the country illegally.
The eight were taken to Cheltenham and Gloucester police stations before being transferred to immigration detention pending their removal from the UK.
Government is like an insurance company.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the present Toff/Tory government can be likened to some sharp operating insurance company.
The customer, in the government’s case the public, pay for an insurance policy over decades, income tax and National Insurance all through your working life then when you have your accident, get a health problem, lose your job or get too old to work and put in your claim the insurance company does its level best to squirm out of paying up knowing full well you’ve no chance of taking them to court over their non-payment of what you are entitled too.
In the case of the present government to find any excuse not to pay out Social Security benefits, by constantly finding reasons to cut who is eligible for them or fail to give the necessary medical assistance you now require and are entitled too.
