1 in 3 illegals not deported

Last week I reported that the UKBA couldn’t be bothered to intercept a Pakistani with an illegally obtained British passport from entering the country even though given all the information needed to catch him.
I see why now, figures disclosed yesterday revealed that fewer than one in three of the illegal immigrants caught last year have been deported.
The figures showed that of 21,298 individuals discovered in Britain unlawfully, only 6,232 were returned to their countries in the same year.

Presumably UKBA see no point in arresting more illegals to increase these failure to deport figures.

The figures also showed that 60% of another group of 1,000 foreign criminals mistakenly freed from jail six years ago have not been removed from Britain either.
