Seven illegal workers caught on one site

The Laxmi Indian Cuisine in Rose Street, Peterhead was caught with seven men working illegally at 6pm on Wednesday 21st March 2012 so the restaurant jumps into the Illegal Worker League Table at joint third.

After checks on staff, six Bangladeshi men and one Pakistani man were found working illegally at the restaurant. Five men have been detained pending their removal from the UK, while the other two must report regularly to the UK Border Agency unless they decide to scarper.

The restaurant had to be closed following the operation, as there were no staff left to run it.

Spice Mill in Grandholm Village, Bridge of Don Aberdeenshire, with 8 illegal workers

MAC RK Precision Engineering Ltd on the Bridge Road industrial estate, Southall,
Ashoka restaurant in Nolton Street, Bridgend and
Laxmi Indian Cuisine in Rose Street, Peterhead joint third with 7 each.
