Pizza Hut rapist jailed

An illegal worker who raped a 17-year-old girl in the stockroom of Croydon Pizza Hut has finally been brought to justice – almost seven years after the attack took place.

IlieOla Adisa, who was in the country illegally, fled to his native Nigeria after carrying out the attack in the town centre branch of Pizza Hut, where he was working in 2004.

He recently returned to England on a false passport but the 46-year-old was captured by police. On Friday, after a trial at Croydon Crown Court, he was jailed for eight years.

Adisa, of Ballards Road, Dagenham, had denied charges of rape and assault by penetration but was found guilty of both.

He claimed that the girl had agreed to what had taken place.

The jury had heard Adisa had cornered his victim in the basement of the restaurant on September 28, 2004 and forced himself on her.

Judge Simon Pratt told Adisa: “It was in a confined space, making it even more frightening for her. She was a virgin and I am satisfied that, up to then, she was a happy 17-year-old girl.”

Judge Pratt recommended Adisa’s deportation after he has served his sentence, adding: “It is not in the interests of this country for a convicted rapist to be allowed to remain.”

Let’s hope he hasn’t fathered any children whilst in the UK otherwise do-gooder lawyers will stop him getting deported.
