IlieCanterbury, Kent is Britain’s third most fertile town a study revealed this week, what a pity a decision has been made to close Kent and Canterbury Hospital’s birthing centre this month. It only opened just five years ago.

Pregnant women in Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable will now have to travel to Ashford or Dover from January.

Meanwhile In Margate, about 15 miles away, the new £300,000 midwifery-led birthing centre at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, which was poised to open, will remain closed for the foreseeable future because of lack of staff!

Three Israelis, Christmas time , come from the East can it be….?

IlieUK Border Agency officers have found three Israeli citizens working illegally on a stall at a Swindon shopping centre.

Acting on intelligence officers visited Swindon Designer Outlet on Wednesday 15 December to carry out checks on staff working on its independent stalls.

At the Heat in a Click stall, a 25-year-old woman and two men aged 22 and 24 were found working illegally. All were in the UK on visitor visas, which do not allow people to work.

More Israelis from the East, or the same lot moved on, so much for immigration bail.

This time four Israelis have been arrested following a UK Border Agency operation at a shopping centre in Reading.

Officers visited the Oracle Centre on Sunday 19 December to carry out checks on the staff working on stalls there.

At the Heat in a Click stall , that rings a bell, two men and a woman were arrested for working in breach of their visa conditions. All were Israeli nationals in their 20s, and were detained pending their removal from the UK.

Another Israeli woman, aged 22, was arrested at the Magnolia stall for working in breach of her visa conditions. She was granted immigration bail, but will also have to leave the UK.
