Cameron makes me feel ill too

Posted: November 4, 2010 in Broken Britain

IlieDavid Cameron yesterday said it makes him “physically ill” to be forced to give prisoners the vote. Downing Street David was responding to a question by Dartford MP Gareth Johnson at Prime Minister’s Questions.
But he hasn’t exactly put up much of a fight has he?

What he should have done is say to some EU rules and regulations geek in the civil service – we’re not going to do it how are we going to get round it.

Collateral damage of immigration

IlieFigures show tuberculosis rates have reached a 30-year high. There were 9,040 infections last year, the highest recorded since 1979 when there were 9,266 cases.

In addition the number of cases of resistant TB – which cannot be treated with a course of antibiotics – has doubled in the past decade.

The number of drug-resistant cases of TB rose from 206 in 2000 to 389 in 2009, according to figures from the Health Protection Agency.
Health officials warn that the disease is mainly occurring among overseas immigrants, coming from Asian and African countries where it is far more common.

The Law’s an ass

IlieA judge has attacked the ‘ridiculous’ decision to haul a father through the courts on kidnap charges simply for intervening in a fight between children.

Kevin Moore, an out-of-work contractor, was allowed to walk free from court after an ordeal lasting four months.
The case involved two hearings before magistrates and a further three at Crown Court – at an estimated cost to the taxpayer of £20,000.

Mr Moore, 44, had carried out a citizen’s arrest on an abusive young thug and ordered him to apologise for attacking another child, he was arrested, held for eight hours and faced a maximum sentence of life behind bars after being charged with kidnap.

Welcome to the lunatic asylum called Britain!
