Killer walks free

IlieA teenage boy who stabbed a school worker to death was cleared of murder and manslaughter.

The 17 year-old boy, who can’t be named, claimed Mohammed Amirul Haq, 27, threatened to shame him within his Muslim community by telling everyone he was homosexual.

The boy stabbed Muhammad Amirul Haq, 27, at his home in Poplar last November claiming he feard the student support officer may rape or kill him.

The victim, known as Amir, who worked at St Paul’s Way Community School, was married wore a religious hat and sported a beard. He went to mosque and prayed and encouraged others to do the same.

Tower Hamlets council said: “Prior to this court case, neither the council or the school had received any allegations of improper conduct. We can confirm that all appropriate checks were in place prior to Mr Haq’s employment.”

Defence claimed that Amir was a predatory paedophile who preyed on young boys in his own community and groomed them in order that he might sexually assault and rape them.

The jury heard the victim had invited the defendant and another boy to his home to smoke shisha pipes.

The defendant said he was armed in case the victim forced him into “sexual acts” and had asked the older man to “back off”.

So why did the 17-year-old go to the victim’s house in the first place if he was so scared he was armed with a knife? Isn’t the carrying of a knife a crime in itself?

The knife fatally injured the school worker when he “lunged” at the teenager, the court heard.

The boy told the jury: “I genuinely thought that he would either rape me or if I refused he would kill me. “I produced the knife. As he was holding my arm I brought it out and held it in front of me.

“He said ‘help me this time and you can leave’. I told him to back off and let me go. He said ‘what are you going to do?, there is nothing you can do, no-one will believe you’. He lunged towards me.” Hmmmm.

Anyway, I’ve heard of illegals doing a runner but doing a swimmer!

A 39-year-old Chinese man was attending Torquay police station last week as part of his immigration bail conditions. When he realised he was about to be detained by officers from the UK Border Agency he made a dash for freedom.

He ran through the streets of the city pursued by police officers before entering the sea fully clothed. He was later hauled on to a boat, arrested and put in immigration detention, while a seat on a flight to Shanghai could be booked.

The man, who was refused asylum in the UK, put in a last ditch legal challenge to avoid removal which was rejected by the courts.

The man was caught working illegally at the Golden Kitchen on Preston Down in Paignton in August 2008. Two years to deport him, good grief!

Twelve illegal foreign workers were arrested on 16 August by the UK Border Agency following an immigration raid in Thornton Heath or as I know it ‘forton eaf’.

UKBA officers went to J and J Halal Butchers, Fresh for You, Islamabad and Zenith Halal Butchers in the High Street, Thornton Heath. Twelve illegals in one high street!

After checking the immigration status of staff at the four businesses, officers found the 12 men, 11 Pakistani nationals and 1 Afghani were working illegally.

Two of the Pakistanis and the Afghani have been detained pending their removal. The remaining 9 have been released on immigration bail while the UK Border takes steps to deport them. I suppose that’s going to take two years as well is it?

  1. Howard Thomas says:

I always thought that bail was granted only to those who were thought to be likely to show up at the hearing……….whats the betting that this lot will vanish?

  2. Saif Ali Khan says:

Guy is lying. I live in the same area as him and he wanders around bragging that he went there to kill him. I don’t know about the paedophillia stuff but this wasn’t just self defence. He went to kill him.
