Two British teenagers were barred from entering the United States after joking on Twitter about “destroying America”.

Leigh Van Bryan and Emily Bunting’s Twitter feeds were monitored by US special agents who also took exception to a comment about “digging up Marilyn Monroe”. I’ve got a picture of Marilyn Monroe on the Weller house wall, she winks as you walk by.

Anyway when the twittering couple arrived in LA, hoping to spend a three-week holiday, they were held by armed guards, questioned for five hours on suspicion of planning to “commit crimes” and then banged up overnight.

Despite explaining he had used the term “destroy” as slang for partying, and insisting the Tweet about Marilyn Monroe was a joke, the pair were put on a flight back to Britain the next day.

They were also searched for shovels after border agents voiced suspicions Bunting would act as a look-out while Van Bryan raided the Hollywood starlet’s tomb. That must have been some eye watering body search for the shovels!

Restaurants caught for the second time employing illegal workers.

A UK Border Agency operation caught three men working illegally at the Jewel in the Crown, Crown Street, Aberdeen on Friday 27th January 2012.

This is the second time illegal workers have been found there, time for the place to be shut down methinks.

After the immigration status of staff was checked, two Bangladeshi men and one man from Nepal were found working illegally at the restaurant. The Nepalese man and one of the Bangladeshi men are being detained pending their removal from the UK. The other Bangladeshi man is supposed to report regularly to a police station unless he scarpers of course.

UKBA officers previously visited the restaurant in September 2010, when four illegal workers were found and a fine of £20,000 was imposed. I wonder if they paid it though.

It seems a bit over the top when QPR footballer Joey Barton is warned because he predicted the results of two football games at the weekend on Twitter.
What are they implying, Barton’s into match fixing or there is match fixing going on and they are trolling Twitter looking for evidence.

Mind you those online betting sites who give odds on a throw-in or a corner in first 5 minutes or so have a lot to answer for.

I notice there seem to be a lot of odd incidents in football these days too like Mario Balotelli scoring the winner with a stoppage-time penalty as Manchester City beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 on Sunday, one of the matches Barton predicted the winners.

Ledley King deliberately fouled Balotelli in the penalty box during stoppage time with the score 2-2, no need for a dramatic dive on this occasion. That’s another annoying thing about football pundits they will say a footballer diving has won a penalty not the player cheated to get a penalty. That foul that penalty won the game for Man City, just bad luck for King or something dodgy going on.

Also some players seem to clearly try and get sent off, like the premiership player I saw a few weeks ago who after receiving a tackle and with the game playing on he walked up behind the tackler and kicked the players legs, had he backed himself to get sent off during the game.

You watch some premiership games in the next few weeks and tell me there aren’t some very curious incidents happening at vital points in the matches.

More sham marriage convictions in Northern Ireland.

Three members of a bogus wedding party were sentenced at Armagh Crown Court for attempting to cheat UK immigration rules.
All three were arrested on 1st August 2011 by specialist officers from the UK Border Agency assisted by the PSNI as they attempted to stage a sham marriage ceremony at Armagh Register Office.

Muhammad Naeem Aslam, a 22-year-old Pakistani, who was living in Armagh and had entered the UK on a student visa, was arrested as he was about to marry his bogus bride, 22-year-old Latvian Jolantea Juska.

Jana Juska 26, the would-be-bride’s sister, who acted as a witness was also arrested.
Aslam, who has been on remand in prison since his arrest, pleaded guilty to seeking leave to remain in the UK by deception by taking part in a sham marriage at Armagh Register Office on 1st August 2011 and was sentenced to 6 months in jail. Steps are being taken to remove him from the UK.

Jolantea Juska, who admitted being offered £2,000 to take part in the sham marriage and that she was only doing it for the money, was sentenced to 3 months suspended for a year after pleading guilty to assisting unlawful immigration (facilitation) by agreeing to take part in a sham marriage and acting as a witness to a sham marriage at Armagh Register Office on 1st August 2011.

Jana Juska who admitted that she knew it was not a genuine wedding also pleaded guilty to assisting unlawful immigration (facilitation) by agreeing to act as a witness and was sentenced to 3 months suspended for a year.

Takeaway illegal workers get taken away for deportation

Three illegal workers from China remain in immigration detention following a UK Border Agency raid on a Cheltenham takeaway. Around £2,000 in cash was also seized at Gourmet San, Bath Road, on 19th January 2012 under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

During the raid a 47-year-old man was found to be a failed asylum seeker, a 42-year-old woman had entered the UK illegally and a 39-year-old woman had stayed in the UK illegally after her visa expired.
All three were arrested and have since been transferred to immigration detention.

The 47-year-old man is due to be removed from the country over the coming weeks while the other two illegal workers have outstanding immigration claims. If they are found to have no right to remain in the UK, they will also be removed.

This illegal immigrant and sham marriage ringleader was given £1,500 of taxpayers’ money to leave prison early and be deported from the UK. Rathore used the money to set up a visa agency in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, offering to provide UK passports, driving licences and National Insurance cards to Pakistan nationals.

What a stupid country we have become, let foreign criminals out early from their prison sentences then give them money to set up an agency in their home country so they can flood our country with more scroungers and fraudsters.

UKBA officers visited three stores owned by the Idea Bright DIY chain, two on Fulham Road, London, SW6 and one in New Kings Road, on Thursday 12th January 2012, questioning staff to check they had the right to work in the UK.
Two men aged 34 and 21 were arrested for working in breach of their student visas at the New Kings Road store, while a 26-year-old man was also arrested for working in breach of his visa at the store at 672 Fulham Road.
At separate premises at 772 Fulham Road a 22-year-old man was arrested for working in breach of his student visa, while a 29-year-old was arrested for obtaining leave to remain by deception.

All five Indian nationals are now in detention awaiting their removal from the UK.
Idea Bright Ltd were served with notices telling them that they face fines of up to £10,000 per illegal worker unless proof is provided to the UK Border Agency that the correct right-to-work checks were carried out. Serves them right should have gone to the Job Centre for their staff.

Two illegal workers have been caught at Café Mela, 22 Foregate Street, Worcester takeaway following a UK Border Agency raid on 11th January 2012.
They sealed all exits before questioning the staff and checking their immigration status.
Two illegal workers were identified. Both were Bangladeshi men. One had overstayed his visa. He was arrested and taken into immigration custody. The other illegal worker was escorted off the premises as he is currently on immigration bail.

Four illegal workers have been arrested after a UK Border Agency raid on the Prithi Raj, South Street, Lancing at 5pm on Thursday 12th January 2012 to carry out checks on staff working there.
Four Bangladeshi men were arrested. A 25-year-old had entered the country illegally while the others, who were aged 35, 37 and 39, had overstayed their visas.
The 25-year-old and 39-year-old were found with forged residency documents and initially gave false details to officers.

Restaurants in Pontypool and Merthyr Tydfil both face large fines after six illegal workers were found there by the UK Border Agency.
Acting on information received, UK Border Agency officers went to Qmin, High Street, Merthyr Tydfil -formerly called the Zeera- on Thursday 12th January 2012.
Immigration checks on those present revealed that two men, aged 20 and 31, had stayed in the UK illegally after their visas expired while a 36-year-old man had entered the country illegally.
The three, all from Bangladesh, were arrested and remain in immigration detention pending their removal from the UK.

On Friday 13th January, that was an unlucky date for the illegal workers, officers visited Jewel Balti, High Street, Pontypool, where three more illegal workers from Bangladesh were found.
Checks revealed that a 31-year-old man and 33-year-old man had overstayed their visas, while a 25-year-old man was working in breach of the conditions of his student visa.
The three were arrested and taken to Ystrad Mynach police station. They were later released and must report weekly to a local police station unless they ‘scapa flow’ and find illegal work somewhere else.

I wonder if there is a website somewhere out in cyberspace just for illegal workers maybe something like www.illegaljobs.com. Gor blimey stone the crows, when I wrote that made up website name a link came up on my WordPad asking me if I wanted to open the link and there is in fact a website already called that; something to do with getting jobs in Canada. Can you Adam and Eve that?

He was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment of which he served only 8 months and was then deported. His wife, Nadia Qadri was sentenced to 8 months of which she served 4 months and was likewise deported.

Hmmm, I wonder if they were two of the 4,000 foreign prisoners bribed to leave the country, that might account for the short time served and the money to open an office up?

Another individual Zafar Ayab scarpered before the court case began. He is currently being sought after by the Home Office. More of him later, we may know where he is.

Two Polish nationals are due to appear at Luton Crown Court next month in connection with this case. They both pleaded not guilty when Mr Rathore and Mrs Qadri were sentenced. One Polish national has already been sentenced to 8 months regarding this matter.

Apparently Mr Rathore has set up a visa agency in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan in order to facilitate the granting of visas to individuals for them to enter the United Kingdom. What his clients do once in Britain, bearing in mind what he was convicted for, is cause for some concern.

Jaspreet Singh, a 24-year-old Indian student living in Dublin was arrested as he was about to marry 24-year-old Latvian woman Irina Kudinoiva.

Two, 33-year-old Indian men, Jarmal Singh Minhas and Karamjit Singh also living in Dublin and who acted as witnesses were also arrested.

Kudinova was sentenced to 11 months suspended for three years and fined £1,000 for assisting unlawful immigration (facilitation) by agreeing to take part in a sham marriage to Jaspreet Singh at Newry Register Office on 1st September 2011.

Flight simulator stowaways

Seven stowaways were prevented from illegally entering the UK after they were caught hiding inside a lorry carrying an aircraft simulator heading for Crawley in Sussex.

The wanna-be illegals were discovered on 21st December by Benji, a spaniel sniffer dog, in Calais by UK Border Agency officers as they checked vehicles bound for Dover.

Opening up the lorry trailer, the officers discovered the men, three Afghans, three Iraqis and one Turk, hiding inside the main part of the simulator. They were removed and handed over to the French authorities.

I previously reported that a promised direct bus service to the hospital for the elderly, who cannot drive, didn’t materialise but appeared to be bullshit to cut down opposition to the hospital relocation which left non-drivers, particularly elderly patients or visitors to their loved ones facing an hour journey with a change of buses too.

As for staff parking permits a spoof video suggests even Hitler wouldn’t be able to get a permit.

Around 50 firefighters fought the flames for over three hours at the egg-laying farm, which is part of the Cranbrook based food company Fridays but were unable to save the chickens.

The company was in the process of upgrading its barns because they no longer complied with new rules, which come into force in July, on caged birds.

Company spokesman David Friday refused to comment on the loss of the chickens, but said: “All staff are accounted for and no injuries have been reported”. Oh, that’s alright then.

At the height of the flames, there were ten appliances at the scene, two vehicles with raised platforms and numerous other specialist cars.

On Thursday three crews were back at the farm to check for hot spots while the two barns were pulled down.

Talking about the countryside how come the BBC has turned Sunday’s ‘Countryfile’ programme into a political platform for Downing Street David Cameron to spout what wonderful things he thinks he is doing for the British countryside.

All I can see is 1,000′s of windfarms, useless when there’s no wind and fall apart when there is wind plus building houses on green fields to house the ever increasing migrant population.
